Welcome

If you have come to this page, there is a strong likelihood that you are having to consider saying goodbye to a beloved pet.

Having been in small animal practice for over 40 years, and an avid pet owner myself, I have an idea of what you are going through and would love the privilege of helping you if possible.

I have been practising veterinary medicine in Wiltshire for well over thirty years, running my own practice for the majority of that time.

When I sold my practice recently, I resolved to devote my time and energy to that area of veterinary practice which I had always found most rewarding, if difficult, namely, pet euthanasia.

Pet loss is unique for a number of reasons, many of which I don’t yet think we fully understand. It’s often a very lonely process, something we address by attending to the human side of the experience before, during and after.  Besides directly supporting those involved, we are creating ways that people can support each other into the future.  We are also scheduling regular memorial services at our heritage barn where people can share stories and memories, while honouring all that pets give us.  This will feel like coming home to a family who understands what you are going through.

As you can imagine, I have had the honour of helping innumerable pet owners and their families at that difficult time when they have to let their special pet go.  It is an experience which is often the most difficult that people will ever experience.  For this reason, the rewards for managing the process and appropriately supporting the pets and people involved are immeasurable.  A potentially devastating experience can, in fact, be uplifting and affirming.  This is my prayer for you at this challenging time.  If I can help, please do not hesitate to contact me.

I think of this stage as the window through which you will always look back on your pet’s life.  By ensuring that everything is well planned, and as clear and positive as possible we can ensure that you will always be able to optimally recall and celebrate your pet’s life.

I look forward to speaking with you.

Warm regards

Howard Taylor
